Despite the summer holiday season in the Nordic countries there are several job opportunities available in the pharma industry. A company home page inventory of open industry positions in Sweden and Denmark, as per August 12th, shows that there are more than 400 openings available, see table 1. The inventory does not cover all pharma companies in the two countries and thus more openings are likely to be available.

As expected most openings are found in Big Pharma companies carrying out both R&D and manufacturing. The leader in diabetes care, Novo Nordisk A/S, fly the flag for 218 jobs and AstraZeneca advertise 76 vacancies. A large portion of the openings concern manufacturing (Quality Assurance, processing etc.) but also Regulatory Affairs, Health Economics and Marketing are frequently searched for.
